Painting walls and cabinets with dry and wet separation

From the aspect of separation, our painting walls and cabinets can be of dry or wet separation. The only difference between walls and cabinets is with the cabinets, the side of the structure are fitted with guiding plates. It is the wet separator version of the two is the one which can be applied more economically with larger amounts of paint since there is no screen blanket in place at this solution. The separation at this solution is provided by a water curtain.

Our painting equipments (walls, chambers and cabinets) all have the Fire protection compliance certificate issued by the authorised body of GÉPMI.

Painting walls, cabinets with dry separation

The painting wall is based on a high-performance exhaust system which exhausts the air from the room through the paint filter. The exhausted air grabs the mis-sprayed paint particles. The special paper, the so-called labyrinth filter carries out the screening process of the air. The total of 90-95 % of the mis-sprayed paint is caught by that filter. The paper filter with labyrinth sheets needs to be replaced after a certain period of time. The painting wall can be built up of units of sheets. The material of the sheets is black sheets and galvanised sheets. The elements are connected by welded and screwed joints. The exhaust fan is located behind the cabinet, generally outside of the building. The fan has to be connected to a discharge chimney, the height of which shall be defined by the specific building requirements. The air is exhausted by the fan from the building, therefore air supply needs to be managed in the building A (installation of an air supply unit). The dry separation walls and cabinets can be applied economically at rather small amount of paint since the paper filter needs to be replaced after a certain period of time.

A painting wall/cabinet with dry separation may consist of the following main and auxiliary units:
  • Painting wall structure
  • Guiding plates on the side of the structure (only with cabinets)
  • Exhaust surface with filter and filter holder
  • Exhaust fan
  • Exhaust air duct
  • Air supply equipment
  • Electric control cabinet, lighting, control units
Painting walls, cabinets with wet separation

In case of any larger painting amount the wet separation painting walls and cabinets are the most appropriate equipment. The structure of the cabinet and wall consists of units with galvanised and acid-proof steel sheets. The mis-sprayed amount of paint is separated by a water curtain. The back plate of the painting wall is fitted with water flushing therefore the walls of the structure are continuously supplied with water so the water stream grabs the paint sprayed on the wall and the paint is forwarded to the storage tub under the cabinet. The mis-sprayed amount of paint is directed to the storage tub through the open tub surface. The creation of the water curtain is provided by a pump which transfers the water pumped from the tub to the canal placed above the wall. The canal helps create a constant and perfect water layer all over the surface of the wall. The suction in the cabinet is provided by a fan. The fan needs to be connected to a discharge chimney, the height of which is to be defined according to the building and construction regulations in place. The fan exhausts the air from the building, therefore the necessary air supply to the building needs to be provided (installation of air supply equipment). The fan transfers the exhausted air through the water curtain therefore the paint grabbed by the air gets separated and is forwarded to the tub together with the water. The air, moving through the water curtain also carries water. The separation of the water is provided by the drop separator sheets. The water and paint-free air are discharged to the discharge air duct through the fan. The supply of the water circulated in the cabinet is provided by the inlet of industrial water. If the water of the storage tub gets accumulated by paint with approx. 20-30% paint content, then the paint needs to be separated from the water (installation of separator).

A painting wall/cabinet with wet separation may consist of the following main and auxiliary units:
  • Painting wall structure
  • Guiding plates on the side of the structure (only with cabinets)
  • Water separator wall of stainless steel
  • Water distributor canal
  • Water storage tank
  • Feeding pump
  • Piping and pipe assemblies
  • Exhaust fan
  • Exhaust air duct
  • drop separator sheets
  • Air supply equipment
  • Electric control cabinet, lighting, control units
